Quality and Environmental Protection
Our customers want to be in control of and promote quality and environmental protection, in a measurable way and using a standardised system. POLZUG Intermodal was the first European container block train operator to undergo ISO 9001 certification by Germanischer Lloyd in 2005, and in 2007 has extended the integrated quality management system also to terminal services in Poland. In addition, POLZUG Intermodal since 2008 is ISO 14001 certified.
Our decisive incentive for this certification is to develop further and to meet the environmental and quality targets associated with it.
As member of the environmental partnership of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg we support with our own environmental system Hamburg's way to the future - for an efficient utilization of energy, water and other resources achieving lower CO2 emissions.
Hence POLZUG Intermodal has two independent mechanisms that constantly demand and promote an improvement in the safety, quality and environmental friendliness of our operations.
Beyond this, POLZUG Intermodal is a partner in the HHLA sustainability initiative. This initiative undertakes to develop and implement climate protection measures and the careful use of resources throughout the company.
Through all these programmes, POLZUG Intermodal offers its customers the assured knowledge that they are using ecologically responsible transport services.
